Friday figments and photos: the one where we're gone from summer to winter in a matter of days

I'm not going to do it. I will resist moaning about the weather,  because the weather is simply a state of mind (well, and a few pairs of ruined shoes.)

Somehow (I'm still convinced that it's a glitch in the matrix) my little old blog has popped up to number 18 in the Trips100 August list of Travel Bloggers. I don't really believe it, but I'll enjoy my (no doubt very brief) moment of mischief...

I also giggled to see the blog staying true to my favourite loves in the bloglovin' list of travel bloggers; blues skies, the Tower Bridge, a few tips and the cat dominating everything else...

We brunched in sunshine (more on this magnificence next week)...



Mooched about on a mini-pub crawl trying to soak in as many sun rays as possible...

Discovered a few gleaming buildings in the finance side of town...

We journeyed out to the wilds of Eltham, to explore the fusion of Art Deco and Medievel architecture that is Eltham Palace...

...and got excited for the bank holiday weekend with a list of free quirks to discover in London - hurrah!
