Oooh I'm excited to here how your trip went! I've heard lots of nice things about Marrakesh but I'm still a little unsure about whether it's a trip I want to make myself :) Maybe you can sway me!
Go - it is delicious, crazy, exotic and a feast for the senses. I would leave it a little while though with the political unrest that affected even our trip.
Aww, Marrakech. I also love this city. We've been twice, and would happily go again. Each visit could be so very different. Lovely to see you, briefly, today.
It seems like a good place to visit. Such beautiful detail the petals on the bed. A former work colleague told me that they did that for her sister, who's got learning deficiencies, when they were on a family trip a few years ago. They didn't do it for the rest of the family, though!
I know a few friends who have been - you can get unwanted attention in the Medina, but we hired a local gentlemen who took my friend and I around and deflected attention we'd get. Also just dressing sensibly helps - knees & shoulders covered up.
I adored Marrakech too! Mainly for the insanely good food I encountered and the fact that there were moments when I felt like I'd been transported back to pre-Biblical times. I hope you had a safe trip and weren't affected by the political upheaval though. x
It looks heavenly! x
ReplyDeleteThis looks deeelightful! Can't wait to go in September!
